Mailcoach terms of service

Effective

These terms cover your use of Mailcoach, an email app for Android made by seqavo. By installing or using Mailcoach you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

What Mailcoach is

Mailcoach is a mail client. It connects to a mail account you already have with Google or Microsoft and lets you read, search and send mail from your phone. seqavo does not provide the mail service itself and does not operate any server that handles your mail.

The app is free. There is no paid tier, no subscription and no in-app purchase.

Your account with your provider

To use Mailcoach you sign in to your own account with Google or Microsoft. Your use of that account remains governed by their terms, and they decide what the account may do. seqavo has no control over your account and cannot restore access to it, recover mail from it or change its settings.

You are responsible for keeping your phone and your provider account secure. If you lose the phone, revoke Mailcoach’s access from your provider’s account settings.

Licence

seqavo grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use Mailcoach on Android devices you own or control. You may not sell, rent, sublicense or redistribute the app, remove its notices, or use it to build a competing service.

Mailcoach includes open-source components from the Thunderbird for Android project, used under the Apache License 2.0. The app’s own code remains the property of seqavo. The licence notices are shipped with the app.

Acceptable use

Use Mailcoach only to manage mail you are entitled to access. Do not use it to send unsolicited bulk mail, to harass anyone, to spread malware, or to break the law or your provider’s terms. Mail providers suspend accounts that do these things, and Mailcoach can do nothing about that.

Privacy

How Mailcoach handles your data is set out in the privacy policy at https://seqavo.com/mailcoach/privacy-policy. In short, your mail stays on your phone and seqavo never receives it.

Updates and availability

Mailcoach is distributed as an APK from seqavo.com. The app can check dl.seqavo.com for a new version and download it, and Android asks you before installing it. New versions may add, change or remove features. We may stop developing or distributing the app at any time. A version you already have keeps working until your provider changes something it depends on.

We may release updates that are needed to keep working with Google or Microsoft, or to fix security problems, and may stop supporting old versions.

No warranty

Mailcoach is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind. seqavo does not promise that the app will be free of errors, that it will work with every account or device, or that it will be available at any particular time. Mail delivery, storage and availability are the responsibility of your mail provider.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, seqavo is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or inability to use, Mailcoach. That includes lost mail, lost data, missed messages, and consequential or indirect loss. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for the app, which is nothing.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under the law that applies to you.

Ending

You can stop using Mailcoach at any time by uninstalling it and revoking its access from your provider’s account settings. seqavo may end your licence if you breach these terms. The sections on licence, warranty and liability survive.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The effective date at the top shows when the current wording took effect. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the new terms.
