seqavo.com privacy policy

Effective

This policy covers the website seqavo.com: what it measures, the email list for new apps, and who helps run them. Each app has its own privacy policy, linked from its page. The apps do not share anything with this site.

Analytics

We use PostHog, hosted in the EU (Frankfurt), to understand how people use these pages. It loads from seqavo.com itself rather than a third-party address.

Analytics can be off or on for you.

  • Off: PostHog uses no cookies or browser storage. It counts visits and pages viewed, which site sent you, your browser and device type, and your approximate location. Visits are told apart by a short-lived anonymous code worked out on PostHog’s servers, not by anything stored on your device. Nothing is recorded.
  • On: PostHog also stores a cookie and browser storage to recognise your later visits, and records how you use the pages: clicks, scrolling, and session recordings. Anything you type into a form is masked in recordings, so your email address is never captured.

If you are in the EU, the European Economic Area, the UK or Switzerland, analytics stay off until you choose “Allow” in the box that appears on your first visit. Elsewhere they are on unless your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, which we treat as a no. Your country is worked out from your connection by Cloudflare and is not stored.

Analytics are used only to make this site clearer. They are not sold, shared with advertisers, or used to follow you on other sites.

Changing your choice

Wherever you are, you can turn analytics on or off with the switch at the end of this page. Your choice is remembered in your browser.

The new-app email list

If you leave your address in “Hear when a new app is out”, it is stored by Kit (kit.com), the service that sends the emails. You get one email to confirm, then one email each time an app is released. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing removes you from the list.

Kit counts whether emails are opened and which links are clicked. We use that only to see whether the emails are useful. Your address is never sold or shared.

Hosting

The site is served by Cloudflare, which keeps standard logs of requests, including IP addresses, for security and to keep the site running. We do not use those logs to identify visitors.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes to this policy

If the site starts collecting or sharing data in a way this policy does not cover, we will update this page and the date at the top first.
