airshot terms of service

airshot captures your screen as screenshots, window screenshots, GIFs and videos, reads text from it, lets you mark up a capture, and copies, saves or uploads it to storage you set up. You can also send seqavo a problem report from the app. The app is free to use.

seqavo grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use airshot on Macs you own or control, for personal or business use. You may not sell, rent, sublicense or redistribute the app, remove its notices, or use it to build a competing product.

You may not modify, decompile or reverse engineer the app, except where the law or a bundled component’s own licence allows it.

airshot ships with open-source components, including Sparkle, each under its own licence. Those licences, not these terms, govern those components.

You are responsible for what you capture, record, keep and share, including other people’s information, other people’s voices, and anything on screen that you do not have the right to copy. Uploads go to storage you control, under your provider’s terms.

How airshot handles your data is set out in the privacy policy at https://seqavo.com/airshot/privacy-policy. In short, your captures stay on your Mac or in your own bucket, and seqavo receives only the problem reports you choose to send.

airshot checks for new versions and asks before installing one, unless you choose automatic updates. New versions may add, change or remove features. We may stop developing or distributing the app at any time. A version you already have keeps working until something it depends on changes.

airshot is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind. seqavo does not promise that every capture or upload will succeed, or that the app will be free of errors.

To the fullest extent the law allows, seqavo is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or inability to use, airshot. That includes lost captures, data or storage charges, and consequential or indirect loss. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for the app.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under the law that applies to you.

You can stop using airshot at any time by deleting the app. seqavo may end your licence if you breach these terms. The sections on licence, responsibility for captures, warranty and liability survive.

We may update these terms. The effective date at the top shows when the current wording took effect. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the new terms.
